Terms of Service
Last updated 19 June 2026
Agreement
By downloading or using the PathStamp app or website, you agree to these terms. If you do not agree, do not use PathStamp. These terms form a legal agreement between you and Cynnau Ltd, the company that operates PathStamp, registered in England and Wales (company number 17199107).
Eligibility
You must be at least 13 years old to use PathStamp. If you are under 16 and based in the UK or EU, you must have permission from a parent or guardian to create an account.
Your account
You are responsible for keeping your account credentials secure. You must not share your account or allow others to access it. You must provide accurate information when you register, including a username that does not impersonate anyone else or violate anyone's rights.
We may suspend or delete accounts that violate these terms or that have been inactive for an extended period.
You can delete your account at any time from the profile screen in the app, or by email if you no longer have the app — see Delete your account. Deletion is permanent and removes all of your stamps, check-ins, badges, and XP.
Ranger subscription
Ranger is an optional paid subscription that unlocks additional features, including premium city collections (a selection of cities is free for everyone), Ranger-only partner challenge tasks, and a discount in the online shop. Subscriptions are billed automatically through Apple or Google at the price shown at the time of purchase.
- You can cancel at any time through your App Store or Google Play account settings. Cancellation takes effect at the end of the current billing period.
- We do not offer refunds beyond what Apple or Google provide under their own refund policies.
- We reserve the right to change subscription pricing or features with reasonable notice.
- Deleting your account does not cancel an active subscription — cancel it through your App Store or Google Play settings.
Fair use
PathStamp is built on the honesty of its users. You agree not to:
- Use GPS spoofing, VPNs, or any other method to fake your location.
- Attempt to claim stamps for locations you have not physically visited.
- Use automated tools, scripts, or bots to interact with the app.
- Interfere with or attempt to disrupt the app or its servers.
Self check-ins (for locations visited before using the app) are taken on trust. Adding self check-ins for places you have not visited is a breach of these terms.
Location data
PathStamp uses your device's GPS to verify that you are physically present at a location when you check in. You grant us permission to access your location when you use the check-in feature. We do not track your location continuously or in the background.
Intellectual property
The PathStamp app, website, branding, stamp designs, badge artwork, and all associated content are owned by Cynnau Ltd. You may not reproduce, distribute, or create derivative works from any PathStamp content without written permission.
Disclaimer
PathStamp is provided as-is. We do not guarantee that the app will be available at all times, that location data will be perfectly accurate, or that stamp or badge records will never be lost due to technical issues. We will make reasonable efforts to maintain the service but cannot be held liable for interruptions or data loss.
PathStamp is not a navigation tool. Do not rely on it for safety in remote or hazardous environments.
Limitation of liability
To the extent permitted by law, PathStamp's total liability to you for any claim arising from your use of the app is limited to the amount you paid for your subscription in the 12 months preceding the claim. We are not liable for indirect, incidental, or consequential losses.
Changes to these terms
We may update these terms from time to time. We will notify you of material changes through the app or by email. Continued use of PathStamp after a change constitutes acceptance of the updated terms.
Governing law
These terms are governed by the laws of England and Wales. Any disputes will be subject to the exclusive jurisdiction of the courts of England and Wales.
